Avel & Maria’s Chicago session was pure Vogue. They are such a stylish, radiant couple, having them in front of my camera was so easy and natural. Expecting their first baby girl in March 2023, they wanted to celebrate this special season of life in the city they love—Chicago.
We spent the afternoon strolling through the city on a classic windy February day, capturing their love against the urban backdrop. I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time, and to our surprise, Chicago gifted us an unseasonably warm 40°F day—very unusual for the typical negatives for February! We made stops along the infamous Michigan Ave, shooting along the riverwalk for those stunning background views of the city's skyscrapers.
To top it all off, we wrapped up the session with a delicious lunch at The Hampton Social, sharing stories and soaking in the excitement of what’s to come for their family. It’s moments like these that remind me how lucky I am to work with such incredible people who become dear friends. Avel & Maria, I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby girl soon!
